Vladimir Putin extended his condolences to President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in connection with the tragic consequences of a terrorist attack in Islamabad.
The message reads, in part:
“The murder of people during a religious ceremony is yet another evidence of the barbaric and inhumane nature of terrorism.
I would like to reaffirm Russia’s readiness to further strengthen cooperation with our Pakistani partners in the field of counterterrorism.”
The President of Russia asked to convey the words of heartfelt sympathy and support to the victims’ families and friends and wishes for a speedy recovery to all the injured.
