Visit to Nizhny Novgorod automotive cluster

Vladimir Putin visited Nizhny Novgorod’s automotive cluster – an industrial complex bringing together automotive companies and manufacturing facilities.

The head of state was introduced to the VOLGA automobile brand. He inspected the K40, K50, and C50 models, and toured their assembly line. Serial production of the vehicles began in April 2026, with sales launched in June. VOLGA head Tatyana Fadeyeva provided details about the project.

Driving a VOLGA K50, Vladimir Putin proceeded to the engine plant located within the automotive cluster. The President was shown the production and assembly line for diesel engines, briefed on plans to develop and localise petrol engine production, and shown various vehicle models equipped with engines manufactured at the plant.

The head of state was accompanied by Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Maxim Oreshkin, Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov, and Nizhny Novgorod Region Governor Gleb Nikitin.
