Vladimir Putin held a briefing session with members of the Security Council.
The discussion focused on the development strategy for Russia's Arctic Zone and steps to ensure the national security in the Arctic. Deputy Prime Minister – Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev and Presidential Aide Nikolai Patrushev delivered reports.
Some general matters of military and political nature were discussed as well.
