Vladimir Putin met at the Kremlin with the service personnel of the 5th Combined Arms Army’s 127th Motorised Infantry Division who performed a feat of valour during military action on the Zaporozhye front.
The Alyosha tank crew engaged in combat with superior Ukrainian Armed Forces and emerged victorious, while also saving the crew of a tank that had been damaged. Senior Lieutenant Rasim Baksikov, Lieutenant Alexander Levakov, and corporals Filip Yevseev and Alexei Neustroyev received the Hero of Russia titles, while Corporal Ilya Gavrilov received the Medal of Courage.
