The President signed Executive Order On Awarding the Order of St Andrew the Apostle the First-Called to Nikita Mikhalkov.
The message reads, in part:
“For outstanding contribution to the development of national culture and cinematic art, for many years of fruitful public work, film director and Chairman of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation Nikita Mikhalkov is hereby awarded the Order of St Andrew the Apostle the First-Called.”
