The President signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Republic of Belarus, and the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus on Cooperation and the Exchange of Information, including Confidential Information, in the Field of Monitoring and (or) Oversight of the Financial Market.
The Agreement was signed in Moscow on August 6, 2024.
The Agreement is aimed at strengthening the reliability and ensuring the stability of financial markets in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus and effective performance by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus and the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus of their vested responsibilities to monitor and (or) oversee the activities of supervised entities, as well as to monitor and (or) oversee financial markets.
