Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the 9th Moscow Wushu Stars international tournament.
The message reads, in part:
“Today, the Moscow Wushu Centre is welcoming the strongest athletes from different regions of our country and many foreign countries – a brilliant team of seasoned veterans and promising newcomers, who are distinguished by exceptional physical fitness, dedication, self-discipline and a competitive spirit.
It is important to highlight that Russia has always been interested in this ancient and captivating form of martial arts, along with its rich history and philosophy. We take rightful pride in the whole galaxy of outstanding athletes and talented mentors, recognising their great contributions to developing and promoting wushu, and to strengthening international cooperation in this field.”
