The message reads, in part:

“In recent years your festival has become a large, significant event in the cultural life of the Altai Territory and the whole of Russia. The festival is famous for its distinct, rich and diverse programme. Guests are presented with a wide palette of documentary and feature films and can take part in creative discussions with famous directors and actors.

I hope this festival will give an impetus to promising ideas and plans and discover new young talents. And of course, it will contribute to the preservation and popularisation of the legacy of our outstanding film director, actor and writer Vasily Shukshin.”
