First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Kiriyenko held a meeting via videoconference of the Coordinating Committee for organising Presidential Grant competitions for the development of civil society.
Winners of the Presidential Grant competitions included 1,640 socially-oriented non-profits from 86 regions. Having topped the scoring table following an independent review, they will receive Presidential grants totalling 4.2 billion rubles to carry out their projects. A total of 10,882 civil-society initiatives from 89 regions applied for grants.
In 2025, recipients of the Presidential grants, amounting to 9.5 billion rubles, will include 3,146 socially important projects by non-profits.
In addition, over 4,000 initiatives by non-profits will benefit from regional support following competitions held in 82 regions of the Russian Federation and co-sponsored by the Presidential Grant Foundation, which allocated 2.2 billion rubles for this purpose.
