Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to the participants in the conference summing up the results of the Ecology is Everyone’s Business International Children and Youth Award.
The message reads, in part:
“It is good that we have a large educational project that has already proven its relevance. It is designed to educate the younger generation on environmental culture and form a careful, responsible attitude towards the priceless natural resources of our Motherland.
Largely thanks to the Ecology is Everyone’s Business award, children start to take part in volunteer activities, involve their parents, relatives and friends in this important endeavour, create entire teams of like-minded people, offer interesting ideas and initiatives in the environmental sector and successfully implement them.
I am certain that all participants in the Ecology is Everyone’s Business programme, no matter what profession they choose in the future, will always attach importance to environmental issues and to caring for nature around them.”
