The head of the region briefed the President on the socioeconomic situation in the Stavropol Territory.
In his report, Vladimir Vladimirov specifically focused on measures to support participants in the special military operation and their families. In particular, the region’s rehabilitation centre has been completely re-equipped.
Regarding the economy, the Governor reported that the regional budget has nearly doubled over the past five years. Local agribusinesses are pursuing a robust import substitution policy, working to replace planting material for horticultural crops, beets, corn, and sunflowers. Today, the Stavropol Territory ranks among the leaders in genotyping highly productive cattle breeds. At the same time, the Governor asked for support for subsidised lending to offset high interest rates.
Regarding healthcare, Vladimir Vladimirov highlighted shortages of medical personnel, with only 83 percent of doctor positions filled, 78 percent of mid-level medical staff, and just 57 percent of ambulance personnel. A particular shortage of drivers was noted.
The President raised one more problem which is the need to carry out major repairs of schools and kindergartens. Vladimir Vladimirov provided specific figures on efforts to address this issue, noting that the region is participating in all relevant federal programmes and projects.
