On September 7–9, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Naryshkin travelled to Irkutsk on a working visit.
Sergei Naryshkin took part in the Baikal Economic Forum, where he moderated a round table on the Establishment of an International Financial Centre in Russia and Investment Processes in the Economy of the Russian Regions. In particular, Mr Naryshkin stressed that the international financial centre in Russia should become part of regional development and have a presence not only in Moscow, but also in other major cities and regions.
During his visit, the Chief of Staff also participated in the international conference Europe — Russia — Asia-Pacific Region: Development of Transport Infrastructure, and a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Business Council.
