Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Magomedsalam Magomedov and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy in the Siberian Federal District Anatoly Seryshev chaired a district seminar-conference on implementing State Ethnic Policy Strategy in Krasnoyarsk. The event participants focused on the strategy’s implementation in the federal district’s regions.
Attending the event were Krasnoyarsk Territory Governor Mikhail Kotyukov, Head of the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs Igor Barinov, representatives of regional authorities, law enforcement agencies, expert communities and public organisations, as well as members of the Presidential Council for Interethnic Relations.
In his remarks, Magomedsalam Magomedov listed key objectives in the field of the state ethnic policy for all entities of the Russian Federation. He drew attention to the need for improving communication with municipalities, to make it more effective, to train personnel, to allocate funding and to fine-tune the system for evaluating the effectiveness of activities in this sphere.
Magomedsalam Magomedov emphasised that the situation in the sphere of interethnic relations in the Siberian Federal District remained stable and controllable, and that the level of popular approval of its current state traditionally exceeded average nationwide indicators.
The event participants discussed a wide range of key issues and the situation in each region of the federal district. They approved the relevant decisions following the seminar.
During their working trip, Magomedsalam Magomedov and Anatoly Seryshev had a working meeting with Krasnoyarsk Territory Governor Mikhail Kotyukov to discuss the region’s socio-economic development and interethnic relations.
