Visiting Thales Avionics marked the beginning of the Russian leader’s extensive visit to Bordeaux in Aquitaine Province.

President Putin was shown production models and discussed cooperation projects involving Thales Avionics and Russian companies. Among other things, Vladimir Putin saw a MIG-AT trainer jet cockpit equipped with French avionics.

Mr Putin signed the Golden Book of distinguished guests.

France and Russia have been implementing joint aerospace projects for many years. Moreover, Thales Avionics is a key element of such cooperation.

Russia’s Soglasiye Group and Thales Avionics signed a cooperation memorandum during the President’s visit. Under the memorandum, a new joint Russian-French company will develop air-traffic control equipment in Russia.
