Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to Ivan Stilidi, director of the Blokhin Cancer Research Centre, member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, on his 60th birthday.
The message reads, in part:
“As a world renowned scientist and a brilliant clinician, you have rightfully earned high professional and public recognition. Your multifaceted research, as well as practical, mentoring, and educational activities are a significant contribution to solving key problems related to preventing, diagnosing, and treating oncology diseases, and to strengthening domestic healthcare as a whole.”
Ivan Stilidi won the 2021 Russian Federation National Award in Science and Technology (as part of a group of scientists) for the development and implementation of preventive and clinical technology to reduce the morbidity and mortality rates of the population, to improve a patient’s quality, and for achieving tangible progress in Russia’s demographic situation.
