Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants and guests of the Third Forum of Regional Filmmaking “New Vector.”
The message reads, in part:
“It’s gratifying that your forum has gained a solid footing and has been consistent in expanding its creative potential. Major projects of this kind bring together people representing the cinema industry, government officials, non-profit associations working in this sector, as well as media outlets from across the country, helping consolidate and unite the professional community, facilitate the sharing of best practices, ideas and advanced hands-on solutions. Of course, your forum has helped promote outstanding humanistic, patriotic, and educational ideals and values which have been a source of pride for our multi-ethnic culture.
In this connection, I would like to highlight the extensive and meaningful efforts of the Foundation for Support of Regional Filmmaking of the Russian Filmmakers’ Union, which has gone to great length in offering administrative and creative support for the production of documentaries, as well as for implementing much needed initiatives for developing Russia’s filmmaking industry.”
