Greetings to the 7th Russia-Kyrgyzstan Economic Forum

August 14, 2025

Vladimir Putin sent greetings to participants and organisers of the 7th Russia-Kyrgyzstan Economic Forum, taking place on the shore of the Lake Issyk-Kul.

The message reads, in part:

”The relations between Russia and Kyrgyzstan continue to progress effectively in the spirit of our strategic partnership and alliance, with economic cooperation invariably remaining a priority component.

Bilateral trade is growing at a high pace. Russia is a leading investor in the Kyrgyz economy. This progress has been possible largely due to the active efforts of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, this forum’s long-term organiser. Over the years, the fund has supported over 3,500 projects worth over $900 million. Thanks to the fund’s support, modern industrial and social facilities are emerging across Kyrgyz regions and cities, creating tens of thousands of jobs.

Advanced technology is playing an increasingly significant role in our joint economic projects. It is no coincidence that this year, the forum is dedicated to digital sovereignty and technological cooperation, both bilaterally and within the EAEU. The plenary session and panel discussions will deeply analyse various aspects of e-commerce market and digital finance development, and the prospects of AI implementation for shaping the digital economy.

I hope that the discussions will produce substantive and constructive outcomes, and your proposals and initiatives will translate into tangible results, in the interests of strengthening the mutually beneficial economic links between Russia and Kyrgyzstan.“
