Vladimir Putin sent greetings to President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on the occasion of the country’s national holiday, Independence Day.
The message reads, in part:
“Your country has made notable progress in social and economic development and holds a well-earned position of respect on the global stage.
Russia-Tajikistan relations continue to develop successfully within the framework of strategic partnership and alliance. Our countries cooperate effectively across multiple areas and coordinate their efforts within the CIS, the CSTO, the SCO, the UN, and other multilateral organisations.
I am confident that we will continue to strengthen constructive bilateral relations in every possible way, for the benefit of our friendly peoples and in the interests of promoting security and stability across Central Asia.”
