Vladimir Putin sent greetings to participants in the All-Russian Forum Family and Culture: Meanings, Practices and Traditions, and the 24th National Congress of Commissioners for Children’s Rights in Russian Territories, held within the forum’s framework.
The message reads, in part:
“Your forums have long established themselves as a respected and much-needed platform bringing together commissioners for children’s rights, heads of specialised agencies, media representatives, and socially oriented NGOs from across many regions of the country. This representative format enables professional and expert discussions on a wide range of pressing issues in such important areas as the protection of children’s rights and interests, the strengthening of traditional and family values, and the promotion of large, multi-child and multi-generational families.
It is gratifying that this year’s meeting will devote special attention to culture, its role in society and its contribution to addressing demographic challenges. Culture plays an essential educational and unifying role, preserving our shared historical memory and fostering in individuals high moral, spiritual, patriotic and civic qualities. It is therefore vital to ensure equal access for all, especially young people, to its truly inexhaustible resources and values.
You will also be considering the key areas of work of the new National Family Support Service, which will provide assistance to participants in the special military operation and their families, as well as to households facing difficult life circumstances.”
