Vladimir Putin sent greetings to participants in the 9th International Scientific and Practical Conference “Problems of Human Rights Protection: Exchange of Best Practices of Ombudsmen.”
The message reads, in part:
“The conference agenda centres on the issues of human rights protection in an era of digital transformation. It is clear that the rapid development of information and communications technologies, including artificial intelligence, not only opens new opportunities for economic growth and improved living standards but also poses significant risks.
Our country is consistently implementing a system of measures designed to protect people’s digital rights, undertaking systematic work to improve laws regulating the collection, transmission, processing, and storage of personal data, and introducing advanced methods to ensure cybersecurity. I would like to confirm that Russia is open to exchanging best practices and most active collaboration with foreign partners in this area.”
