Vladimir Putin extended his greetings to President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Kazakhstan’s national holiday, Republic Day.
The message reads, in part:
“Your country is confidently advancing along the path of socioeconomic development and steadily strengthening its position on the international stage.
Relations between Russia and Kazakhstan are at a very high level. Our countries cooperate successfully across a wide range of areas and work effectively together within the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Eurasian Economic Union, the Collective Security Treaty Organisation, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, and other multilateral frameworks.
I am confident that, through our joint efforts, we will continue to develop the relations of strategic partnership and alliance between Moscow and Astana in every possible way. Your upcoming state visit to the Russian Federation will undoubtedly contribute to this.
I wish you good health and every success, and continued well-being and prosperity to all citizens of Kazakhstan.”
