The President sent greetings to the participants of the Peoples of Russia and the CIS International Festival.
The message reads, in part:
“For centuries, our nation has not only cherished but also continually strengthened the invaluable traditions of neighbourly relations, friendship, and trust. We have consistently sought mutual enrichment and the growth of our unique national cultures. It is therefore symbolic that this festival opens just days before National Unity Day – a holiday that embodies the cohesion of our society and the continuity of our generations.
You can look forward to an interesting and rich programme. The nationwide Peoples of Russia forum will focus on enhancing the effectiveness of our ethnic policies. Meanwhile, the film forum, the gala night of the Modern Musical Map of Russia festival, and the photo exhibition will showcase the work of our talented directors, actors, musicians, and artists. These events will serve to strengthen professional and friendly ties, preserve our shared historical memory, moral and spiritual values, and, of course, foster in our youth a profound sense of pride in their ancestors’ achievements, patriotism, and civic engagement.
I would like to note, in particular, that the outcomes of this festival will be reviewed at the 13th meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Councils of the CIS member states. For many years, this format has been instrumental in allowing us to jointly develop measures to protect our nations from external and internal threats and to effectively address other pressing issues.
I am confident that this festival will significantly advance intercultural and interethnic dialogue and cooperation across the Commonwealth of Independent States, paving the way for further expansion of our fruitful, multifaceted contacts.”
