“Welcome to Samara and Russia – Country of Sports International Sports Forum, an annual event that brings together key figures from the world of sports, heads of sports federations and organisations, top coaches and mentors, renowned athletes, and international experts. The forum provides a prestigious platform for experts to discuss current professional tasks and challenges, and exchange advanced practices.

This year’s event will focus on promising avenues for the development of mass, youth and children’s sports. Our nation has accumulated immense experience in this area, and we are eager to share this knowledge with our partners.

I would like to highlight that last year, sports have become an integral part of life for over 80 million Russians. Today, our common task is to expand opportunities for engaging in sports activities, particularly for the younger generation. It is essential that we continue developing advanced, accessible, and high-quality sports infrastructure, promote large-scale amateur competitions and tournaments, and ensure that people with disabilities have the opportunity to engage in sports.

I am confident that the initiatives discussed at this forum will be implemented and will make a substantial contribution to the promotion of sports both in Russia and across the globe.”
