A presentation of new sports facilities that opened in Russian regions in 2025 was held for the President via videoconference. The event took place at the Orbita sports and recreation complex.
The projects showcased included the Krymsky Training Centre for Russian National Teams in Alushta, a Volleyball Centre in Ulan-Ude, a Martial Arts Palace in Izhevsk, a Football Development Centre in Kazan, and a Table Tennis Academy – a sports boarding school for gifted children – in Orenburg.
The sports infrastructure across Russia has seen over 2,500 facilities built and renovated over the past five years.
