Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants and guests of the 5th Young Scientists Congress, which is taking place at the Sirius University of Science and Technology.
The message reads, in part:
“Over the years, this Forum has clearly demonstrated its importance, evolving into one of the most dynamic and influential events of the Decade of Science and Technology. Each year, leading national and international scientists, government and business representatives, engineers, and technology entrepreneurs gather at the Congress to address the most urgent issues in fundamental and applied research, share perspectives on new models of collaboration and partnership with industry, and present their latest innovations and accomplishments.
It is essential to elevate the role of the scientific community in tackling Russia’s strategic development challenges and reinforcing the country’s technological and industrial sovereignty. Achieving this requires stimulating investment in the most promising research areas and deepening international dialogue and cooperation. Equally important is creating the best possible conditions for the professional growth of talented young specialists and expanding opportunities for their involvement in long-term projects and programmes.
I am confident that the ideas and recommendations put forward during the Congress will be translated into concrete action and will contribute to advancing the priorities of the Decade of Science and Technology.”
