A gala evening on the 300^th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences took place at the State Kremlin Palace. During the event, Vladimir Putin presented Russian Federation state awards to outstanding scientists and presidential prizes in science and innovation to young scientists for 2023.

On Russian Science Day, Vladimir Putin is holding a meeting of the Presidential Council for Science and Education via video conference. The agenda includes the revised Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation, financial support for Russian science, and advancing the activities of the Russian Science Foundation.

The discussion focused on the results of the energy company’s 2023 performance in key areas, including engineering, power generation and supply, power plant engineering, and investment projects. Boris Kovalchuk also reported to the President on the company’s upcoming plans.
